What is iCUE?
Formed in 2003, Innovative Consulting University of Edinburgh (iCUE) pioneered the Junior Enterprise movement in Scotland, reinforcing the concept of student entrepreneurship in the United Kingdom. As a registered Edinburgh University society, iCUE strives to develop the practical business skills, entrepreneurial spirit and employability of its members by allowing them to perform real world business tasks within a fully operational student company.
iCUE is made up entirely of students from the University of Edinburgh. Boasting members from a wide range of academic subjects from the Arts to the Sciences, we are able to put our theoretical knowledge of business into practice. iCUE is unique in that it enables students from a vast array of academic backgrounds to dip into the corporate world, enabling them to build on their existing knowledge on a personal level, as well as bringing an element of diversity and creativity to the projects that we co-ordinate. As a student-run company, responsibility is taken by members to acquire, manage and deliver solutions for our client's problems. The students undertake management & director positions but are supported by a large and professional Board of Advisors, comprised of departmental heads, chairs and official organisations.
Mission
We aim to improve the skills, confidence, and business awareness of each & every iCUE member, by providing invaluable project experience, regular workshops and through aiding the running of iCUE itself.
iCUE is one of 4 Junior Enterprises in the UK. It is the first of its kind in Scotland, and is pioneering student entrepreneurship and innovation within one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Our members are some of the country's top students, and it is their energy, enthusiasm and intellect that ensure that iCUE remains at the top of its game.
